Contrary to what most people up north or in the midwest think, it really does cool down quite a bit here on the east coast of North Carolina. Of course our temperatures aren't anywhere near the negative 35 degree wind chills that my home state of Iowa has been having in the last week, but the temperature gets right down near 30 degrees at times, and everyone has to admit, that is pretty cold...especially if you're going to talk about surfing.
Believe it or not, it's been just over four months since Lindsey and I arrived in Wilmington. Over the course of those months we've both been able to find jobs and friends. Although my camera has been set aside in the recent months, after talking with one of our friends I decided it was time to pull it out of the closet and get back into the groove of things.
Despite the fact that it was no warmer than 40 degrees and cloudy, when Marc texted me that he was heading out to surf on Tuesday morning, I decided it was the perfect opportunity to get back into the swing of things. To my surprise, there were quite a few surfers out at Wrightsville Beach. Turns out, it's never too cold to surf. I think I found my new project.
