For many people in Eastern Iowa, it was a long, cold winter - one that seemed to last forever. As March came to a close, the snow left the ground and the sun found its way out from behind the clouds.
Along with everyone else, I was waiting for March to end to get past the cold air, the snowy streets, and the short days. But along with March came new opportunities, as every day does in the world of photojournalism.
